Cecilia Cheung to prioritize family over work

Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung's return to showbiz had been lackluster. The actress is speculated to take time off making movies because her recent movies have been box office flops. However, the 31-year-old actress cited a need to take care of her two sons as a reason for her much needed time-off.

In a recent interview, Cecilia expressed that she is slowing becoming more mature and added, "Now, my children are my focus. I will spend more time this year to take care of them. It's time for me to put down my work (for my children)."

The actress has made good on her words, starting by cutting back on her alcohol consumption. She expressed that "the hangover feels horrible" and it makes her unable to take good care of her children the next day. She added she would be "willing to drink a little" only if it was a special celebration.

The mother-of-two also shared in the magazine interview that she realized that to be successful is to have a happy life coupled with a job that she enjoys and had slowed down to enjoy the little things in life.

Meanwhile, even though Cecilia and ex-husband Nicholas Tse had separated, Nicholas's father, Patrick Tse continues to dote on his ex-daughter-in-law. When asked if the pair would ever reconcile, Patrick expressed that no one is certain about the future and that "it depends on fate. If they can't be a couple, they can still be friends, whichever is better for the children". He also concluded that the couple seemed to be more harmonious after splitting.
